Adult Ministries work toward developing connections among adults through Bible study, fellowship activities, spiritual formation and other small group events and activities. Study Groups and Bible Study Circles and Small Groups are open to anyone interested in exploring the scriptures together and expanding awareness of God’s work in our lives and in the world.

Men’s Bible Study led by Pastor Knudson, on Tuesday mornings to explore faith issues and prayer, coffee and conversation, using the Master Builder’s Bible for Men.

Women’s Bible Study group facilitated by Cheryl Schmidt and Nancy Hafner, meets Thursdays at Noon, September through May for bible study and prayer. Childcare is provided for young Moms.

Women of the ELCA Circle Bible Studies are self led in the five WELCA circles. Pastors meet monthly with circle study leaders to help them prepare for leading their circle groups.

Women’s Book Study Groups facilitated by Pastor Barbara Johnson, meet at local coffee houses for prayer, mutual support and book discussions on faith and spiritual growth.

“Life After Fifty-Five” welcomes adults who are venturing bravely and graciously into the joys of elderhood. LAFF meets 9 or 10 times a year for friendly conversation, a meal and a program that provides information, education or entertainment.

This group meets Monday afternoons at 1:00 pm.  Call the church office to find out where to meet.

Merry Widows

rip to Frank's Nursery in Pennock, Thursday, May 15, 1:00 pm. Car pool from the church at 12:30 pm--registration deadline is May 8.

"A Walk in the Woods" Prarie Woods Environmental Learning Center, Saturday, May 24, at 11:00 am. Call a friend, bring your family, take a hike, bring a lunch and enjoy the great outdoors with Vinje family and friends. Registration deadline is May 17.

Church Basement Ladies--A Second Helping, June 29, 2:00 pm. Plymouth Playhouse. Tickets, $25, Lunch, $14.99. Leave Vinje at 10:00 am.

This group will take a break for the summer and begin again in October .

Vinje Softball

Spring is here and it is time to play softball. Men and women 13 and over are invited to join the Vinje Softball Team. The first game is May 30 and registration deadline is May 12. Call Jason Kowalczyk at 905-5733 or the church office at 235-1441 to get your name on the roster.

Vinje Gardeners

With ongoing construction around the building, most of our gardening plans will have to wait. However, it would be nice to have a few gardeners standing by in case we could plant a few things in the north and south gardens. We will have a better idea if that is possible when the 2nd phase begins.
