Preschool

The primary developmental task of preschoolers is to learn social skills and the opportunity to develop friendships. Our preschool program encourages hands-on learning, sharing of own ideas and exploring the world around them. We offer many opportunities throughout the day for children to engage in small group activities.

In developing a curriculum for preschool, we have incorporated ideas from Reggio Emilia and the Creative Curriculum. Each month a new study theme is introduced and the children are “immersed” in learning through the environment, teacher-directed activities, books and exploration.

The PRESCHOOL classroom is designed for 18 children, ages 33 months up to 4 ½ years. It is staffed by a team of 3 teachers.
