This year, Vinje Lutheran is offering First Communion Instruction as part of a full-day retreat at Green Lake Bible Camp on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9am-1:30pm. We trust that you, as a parent, know when your child is ready to receive Holy Communion. This instruction is geared toward elementary students in Grades 2nd-5th, but if you feel that your child is ready, we welcome students who are Kindergarten and up (and older students, too!). If your child participates in this instruction, their First Communion will be celebrated as part of worship both on Sunday, March 15, and or Wednesday, March 18, as part of our regular worship services.
Please help us out by filling out this form if you plan to have your child attend the retreat. You will also have to fill out a registration form for Green Lake to give permission for your child to participate. The fee for this retreat is $90, but, Vinje will cover the entire cost of for our members. Please click the box that says that your congregation will pay when you register.
