Two Centers. One Mission: To offer a premier childhood development experience that is faith based, educational, and affordable.

Loving Arms and Discovery Hill provide a loving and nurturing environment for your child because we believe that God loves and nurtures all people. Our faith teaches us that every child is special, unique, and worthy of love and acceptance. Both centers enable children to enhance their physical and cognitive development through a child-centered, safe environment.

We offer care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. We also are pleased to offer summer and off-day care for children ages 5-10.

Meet our Director, Samantha Russell-Barron

I am excited to be the Director of Early Childhood Education for Loving Arms and Discovery Hill Childcare Centers! I grew up in Litchfield and after graduating high school I went to Luther College in Decorah, IA. I earned my bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in environmental studies and religion.

During college I was a camp counselor at Shores of St. Andrew Bible Camp for three summers where my passion for working with children grew exponentially. I have been working with children in different capacities ever since, including seven years in the childcare industry. In my most recent position, I was the Assistant Director, Behavior Specialist, and School-Age Teacher at Kids of the Kingdom in Litchfield, and while I was sad to leave, I am ready to take on new challenges.

I am a mom to two children, Barron, and Josie. Barron is a typical five-year-old boy who loves building Lego sets and all things monster trucks. Josie is two and loves whatever her brother is doing, also ice cream, the girl is obsessed. One of our favorite things to do together is going to the splash pad in Litchfield during the summer. In my personal free time I enjoy reading, crafts, spending time with family, and adventures, whether that be going camping, or trying something completely new.
